Hosed the drivers on a botched install?

In case youmissed the “Read Me First” card, the sticker you ripped to open the static bag, the notice on the CD-ROM, and warnings all over the manual, you’re supposed to install the software BEFORE shutting down your machine and installing the PCI card. If you do not, then the PC will come up and look for drivers it doesn’t have yet, and probably do the Wrong Thing. No big deal, you just have to remove whatever drivers Windows95 mistakenly installed. Shut down your machine, pull the card, boot Windows in Safe mode. Go to the device manager by right clicking on My Computer, and pick “Properties”. Remove all the drivers for the unrecognized devices and anything else that looks suspect. Shut down, reboot, and install the software. Then you can install the hardware, and it should find everything alright this time.
