Honest and innocent question: If a good, hard working job was offered to a homeless person, would they seriously take it?
I think it would depend on the homeless person. I think there must be some who would absolutely jump at the opportunity given and do everything in their power to fit in. It would be difficult, for example, because they are homeless, initially to be really clean and tidy with fresh clothes for the job but I am certain some of them would find a way around this so that once earning they would be able to rent a room and get their life back to normality. Sadly, I think some people are homeless because they are unable to fit into society because of poor health etc. My brother’s step-son was homeless at one point, his mother and my brother sorted him out but the only way he seems to be able to live now is in the army. He tried coming out but it didn’t suit him. He seems to need the rigidity and routine of army life and I think this may apply to some homeless people.
