Home Automation FAQ : HA Equipment : ELK Products : Magic Module : Is the MM RS-485 port terminated?
There is no termination capability on the Magic Module board. RS-485 networks should have termination resistors at the extreme ends of the network. If your Magic Module is at either end of an RS-485 network, you should place a 100 Ohm resistor across the A & B terminals. Note you should NEVER have more than 2 termination resistors on an RS-485 network as this will overload the network interface ICs.
