It is much easier to cool you off with dry air rather than wet air. Be sure you have a HVAC contractor come and look over your system and document everything. I HATE A/C techs. A clear sign that they are taking you for a ride is that they say the freon is low. It’s a closed system, so if the freon is low there would be a leak somewhere that would need to be fixed. How old is your unit? They lose efficiency each year, until finally they really don’t run very well at all. There should be a 20 degree (f) difference between where the air goes into the inside unit and where it comes out of the vents in the house. If there isn’t, he didn’t fix your airconditioner, and shouldn’t be charging you money.
