Here are our picks for some tasty gifts: The savvy son or daughter will give Dad one of Texas French Bread’s new chocolate cream pies and stand around, hoping that the proud papa will share. The 8-inch tart ($15), which serves six, has a thick layer of chocolate filling, topped with a swirl of whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. Sold whole and by the slice on Friday through Sunday at the bakeries, the pie also can be special ordered in a 9-inch size for $20.
