Hiw many hours need to go by to take fasting glucose test?
For purposes of this test, you ned to be fasting AT LEAST 8 hours, preferably 10 to 12. Word of advice: When you KNOW you are going to be taking a test that require fasting, try to schedule it for first thing in the morning, like 8:30 AM. That way, you can eat a late dinner (about 9PM), and sleep through the night, with little or no hunger discomfort before the test.
