HI there Kimber, you asked–“WHY AREN’T JEHOVAH WITNESSES ALLOWED TO CELEBRATE HOLIDAYS?” Nobody ever said to me, or any other Witness I know; “you are not allowed to celebrate Christmas, birthdays etc.” When a person studies the bible, they find out what is pleasing to God and what is not, and the person desires to please God, so THEY make the decision to give up certain things they did before. JW don’t celebrate Christmas because, 1. Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th and 2. None of the early Christians celebrated birthdays, not even Jesus, celebrating a birth was a PAGAN practice. This is just briefly, if you would like a detailed explanation I will be happy to provide. So then, the reasons JW have nothing to do with Halloween, Christmas, birthdays, and so on, are all bible based reasons. JW want to please God and have his approval, to that end they are willing to give up celebrating things God hates.
