Hi quala; There is a common misconception that humans are some kind of alien species exisitng apart from all other living organisms. Nothing can be further fron the truth. All life is interconnected. Whatever we do to the Earth we do to ourselves.” A mass extinction of great proportions could result in an extinction of our species or at the very least a drastic change in our quality of life. If bees and some other insects disappear than so do fruits, flowers and many birds. If the insect predators disappear insects will take our food and crops. Think about food webs where energy is changed from one form to another. We are at the top of an energy pyramid. Whatever changes occur lower in the pyramid will go to the top.
