The weekend of the 5th is a bank holiday in Ireland. All the pubs and clubs will be packed but not any more than every weekend. The only difference with a bank holiday is the weekend is longer. The best thing to do is try and find the best pubs and clubs or museums and galleries if that is what you are into with in walking distance from where you are staying before you go. As taxis will be difficult to get particularly Saturday night.
