Hi! Can someone explain to me what Nihilism is?
Nihil, latin root means nothing…nihilism derives its meaning from it. This philosophy is quite self-explanatory. “Vacuousness” is the basic idea of nihilism. Major types of nihilism: Existential nihilism – Probably the most common view of nihilism, it states that life is without meaning or value. Epistemological nihilism – This type denies all objective knowledge. Ethical nihilism – Moral absolutism is false. Societal pressure defines “moral” values. Metaphysical nihilism – Is the belief that existence itself is nonexistent. The concept of existence is meaningless because there is no clear line between existence and non-existence. “The modern mind is in complete disarray. Knowledge has stretched itself to the point where neither the world nor our intelligence can find any foot-hold. It is a fact that we are suffering from nihilism.
