Help! What are the best exercises to build a muscular chest?
You have to know what makes the chest. There are two main muscles in the chest, pectoralis major and pectoralis minor. The Pectoralis major is the main chest muscle as the pectoralis minor is underneath that. It is crucial to train both muscles in your chest. Pectoralis major can be trained with exercises such as, the bench press, chest flies and incline bench press. You can either use bars, dumb bells or machines to train the chest. An example of a pectoralis major work out is 3 sets of bench press, 3 sets of incline bench press and 3 sets of chest flies. If your looking to bulk up, start with 12 reps on the first set, 8 reps on the second and 4 to 6 reps on the last set. Always increase the weight per set. Pectoralis minor is the hidden muscle in the chest that needs as much attention as the major muscle. The best exercise for the minor muscle is the dip exercises.
