Help please. What is Austrlias legislation on parents hitting children?
Legislation varies between states, but that’s definitely abuse. The following is from the Criminal Code Act 1913 (WA): 257. Discipline of children It is lawful for a parent or a person in the place of a parent, or for a schoolmaster, to use, by way of correction, towards a child or pupil under his care, such force as is reasonable under the circumstances. There is abslutely no way that under any circumstances it would be reasonable to pull a child by their hair and slam them into a wall.
