Help please, My navel piercing is growing out?
Take it out now if you haven’t already. With the skin that thin, something had to have gone wrong. Either that or your body recognized that something was there that shouldn’t be and ran its course to get it out. This is referred to as rejection, where as mild movement of a piercing as its healing is called migration. Migration can lead to rejection and keep in mind, not everyone’s anatomy is suited for piercings and that my have had a part in this. Of course, I cannot see your navel to be sure. Once you take it out, wait 3-6 months for it to fully heal. Keep the area clean so nothing gets in while its healing, this could cause infection. Once you believe its healed, go see a piercer and explain the situation. They will be able to repierce it, just keep in mind that it will be more painful and since the tissue is thick, it COULD end up crooked.
