HELP!!!! 7 Day old kitten not nursing, what can I do?
You need to warm this kitten up. Put her under your shirt, or wrap her in blankets/towels. Do something now or you will lose her. Young kittens cannot maintain their own body temperature. You must suspend a 100watt light bulb over the nesting box as well. Are you giving her orphan’s formula, or are you using cows milk? They cannot tolerate cow’s milk. And you need to be taking a warm cotton ball, and stroking gently around the anus to help her defecate. The mother cat usually does this, but if the mother cat isn’t doing it, you will need to. Feed her every two hours, more often if she is not taking much from the bottle. Call your vet for further assistance. Get her warm!!!!!
