HEIs used to return their intended assignment of cost centre/academic department allocation to HEFCE, this survey has not been undertaken why not anymore?
A HEFCE have advised that they have in the past collected data on assignments of departments to cost centres. Collection of this data has been put on hold. HEFCE make limited use of the data and recognise that collecting it places a burden on institutions and themselves and therefore have not collected the data as they do not have an immediate use.
