Health Tourism in the UK – is it really a problem?
I am strongly opposed to allowing foreigners who haven’t ever paid into our NI system getting free treatment. If they want treatment they should be made to pay for it, same as we do when we go abroad. As for the American idiot RayH’s arrogant and ignorant comments, I lived in the USA on a work visa for four years, only coming back in May this year. I found out that due to the monetary greed of of the US healthcare system over 1,000,000 (a million) children DIED in one year (1997) from a lack of access to basic healthcare because their parents couldn’t afford to pay for it, not to mention the many toxic drugs advertised on US tv that the pharmaceutical companies couldn’t be bothered to test first before releasing to the public for profit! It’s a friggin national disgrace. How’s that for compassion, eh? The US healthcare system is horribly corrupt and the many Americans I spoke to welcomed an NHS style system so that ALL people could get access to healthcare, regardless of their means. S
We Americans are a compass ate and giving people When people are sick and in need of care we take care of them As you Brits should know Not only during WW 2 but years later we were sending care package to take care of you Does not matter to us if they are legal or illegal to us Americans they are just people in need As an aside I think Daniel Hannan should be your next P M it well help in you regaining our respect After hearing what is really going on in the U K from Daniel Hannan Why it makes one want to cry and also so very thankful we live in America As an aside y’all not only owe the Polish people but the Russians as well After all y’all have posted many times that were the true winners of WW 2 We Americans should take the bull by the horns and elect him as your P M and end this nightmare of watching our friends over the pond on this downhill slide I personally know a few Brits who really are good people
