To be able to record video XProtect Go is running in the background as a system service, even though you might not be viewing any live video. By default, the cameras you connect to XProtect Go are defined to be always online (transferring video to XProtect Go at all times), but only record on motion, i.e. the cameras only record when there is motion detected. If you want to reduce the processor load, you can make your cameras passive during periods when you don’t need to make any recordings. You do this by defining a schedule for all, or some, of you cameras where you limit the time when they are on-line. To set up scheduling for individual cameras: In the Management Application’s navigation pane, expand Advanced Configuration, expand Scheduling and Archiving, right-click the required camera, and select Properties … You can also fine-tune the motion detection settings to eliminate false triggering of the detection caused by regularly moving objects like machines, traffic, movements c
