Have you gone into other mecha series (Heavy Gear, Armored Core, Gundam) with as much gusto as Battletech?
BKerensky: I am an avid anime fan, so, yes, I know Gundam like the back of my hand. I went so far to adapt Heavy Gear RPG system to the Gundam universe so that my friends and me can play our own role in the U.C. universe. I own large quantities of Gundam models and almost any TV, OAV series and movie on DVDs, as well as illustration books and so on. Gundam was a cornerstone in japanese animation and there’s no way I can’t be into it. Platlabor, Five Star Stories, Macross are other Japanese series I love both for mechanical design and overall history. As for other series, [my friends and I] play the Heavy Gear RPG, but my knowledge stops at the basic rulebook; I wanted to expand my background but such books are extremely hard to find and expensive. As for Armored Core I bought pre-owned a copy of the second game — fun, but never really got into it. I also own the two Zone of the Enders. [The game’s] mecha design is very good (a transformable Vic Viper!), but both games are so boring —
