Yes, and it was so much fun. You just get together and decide who’s going to host the cocktails and appetizers, and each course. You can have the evening have a theme, like Greek food, so everyone can try cooking something new, or you can do something more traditional. Once you agree on each course, then you pick out your wines. You can provide your recipe for your course to the other guests if you like, or you can make a memorable kind of menu of the party with the date, the people, the foods, etc. You can make it very formal or you can make it more fun–entirely up to you. A BBQ could be considered a dinner party–it doesn’t normally have a number of courses, though, so it may not work as well for a progressive dinner. On the other hand, each host can prepare a different kind of BBQ–beef, pork, chicken, etc. and see which one is most popular. But as a rule, progressive dinners are a little more formal.
