On June 7, 2005 just after 6 p.m., a track circuit problem was identified in the tunnel between Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn Metrorail stations on the Orange/Blue Line. A train had stopped and second train came within 30 feet of the first, and a third train came to within 30 feet of the second. A news release was issued. As a precaution, trains were placed in manual mode between the two stations.
