Have there been any Jewish leaders that wern leading Israel?
There a plenty of examples, but the number differs based on your definition of “Jew”. Benjamin Disraeli was only of Jewish descent, and wasn’t a Jew himself, at least that wasn’t his proclaimed religion. The current Prime Minister of France, Sarkozy, has the same conditions: Jewish descent, but not Jewish. La Guardia, a mayor of New York, has Jewish origins, but wasn’t a practicing Jew himself. Michael Bloomberg, however, is both a mayor of NY and a practicing Jew. Bruno Kreisky is listed as a Jewish agnostic. Costa Rica has elected a Jewish Vice Pres., Luis Lieberman. Two leaders who I would say are not Jewish, at all, are Achmadinejad and Qadalfi. Both are practicing Muslims (so at best they are apostates), and I think it has been proven that Iran’s leader cannot be Jewish. Both are criticized by rivals as being Jews; but, there is no proof and no Jew in the world would recognize them as such. The vast majority would condemn these two @$$ holes, if anything.
