The other poster has it half correct.The 2005 Saturn Vue has two different engines with two different towing capacities.The Vue with the 2.2 liter 143HP engine model has a max towing rate of 1500 lbs.The 3.5 liter 250HP engine model has a max towing rate of 3500 lbs.Some of the posters here never take the time to list all the correct info.This info comes from Alldata in my dealership.Best of luck.
