Hi there, I’m so excited that you’re starting an adoption process! It’s very long, and a pain, but it’s so worth it! Are you adopting locally, nationally, or internationally? This can make a big difference, but in general: 1) Usually you only need to show that you have adequate space and a plan. But if you know you want a baby/very young child or older age range, it’s a great idea to have the basics ready. Buy a 3-in-1 crib, so that you’re ready for a newborn, but will also be able to convert easily it if you bring home a 2-year-old. You can also get a dresser that doubles as a changing table, etc. Things that you’ll need either way, but can be used for any age range are great buys! Stuffed animals and learning toys are also great for a wide range of ages.
