There’s still for room for joint cooperation between the private sector and government to help build a positive reputation for Jakarta. I’d say for Jakarta, we need to maintain its authenticity while we offer interesting stories for visitors. A clear spirit of the city will make it easier to communicate. The Mbatik Yuuuk classes held each month at the Museum Bank Mandiri that teach the art of batik making, for example, are a good start. We need more activities like this. However, like I said before, each of us as individuals can help contribute to the effort. Supporting museums is something that I think the private sector could do to help contribute to tourism. I have a personal interest in the museums, especially the ones in Old Town, and if the private sector could also get involved, that would be great. What can we do personally to promote Jakarta?
