Have Matt and Kim experienced any disgruntled boarder patrol workers?
Kim: Matt and I were doing so much touring, but we would never go to Canada, because we were scared of crossing the boarder. We’re really bad at lying, well, not even lying. Before we were a band, we did a cross-country trip to work on a film he was doing. We were making our way up to the Grand Canyon. Down in New Mexico they have check points and we pull up to a check point with a guard asking us where we were. Both of us were blank and he’s like ‘Were you at the White Sands Desert?’ and we’re like yes, yes! Then he’s like ‘Where are you going? Are you going to the Grand Canyon?’ and we’re like yes, yes! After we freaked out about not lying or doing anything wrong we were really scared to go to Canada and put that off for a while.
