There are a lot of possible questions, and it needs a lot more information before this can be answered. Why and when was the Sky box fitted? How can a Satelite dish affect a land-line? How long have you previously been ex-D? are the first that come to mind. I worked on BT since it was Post Office Telephones in 1951, until 1991. I can see no way that you can make a financial claim. What you should do is to argue that you have been Ex-D in the past, and that as this has not been continued request a change of number. I know that this can be inconvenient as a number of people will be aware of you present number, but unless you wait for a new directory (with your name excluded) this may be the only way.
