Decalcification is also called, “white spots.” It sounds like you may have some decalcification already – those white lines that you’re seeing on your teeth. Unfortunately, there’s no way to reverse it but it is preventable. Make sure you’re brushing your teeth thoroughly and not missing any areas. Decalfication develops when you keep missing a certain area while brushing. The plaque stays there and weakens the enamel, causing the area to turn white. I would recommend you using a mouthwash with fluoride to help strengthen your enamel and to prevent further deterioration. Sounds like your dental hygiene routine has really improved. Continue what you’re doing, but I would really recommend flossing. Brushing just can’t get in between where your teeth meet. You could try some new flossers that they have for braces.
