Have found parasitic ring worms in the supermarket fish?

I guess if the fish was whole (including guts etc) then it would be hard for the shop to know it contained parasites. On the other had if it had already been gutted and these had been missed that is totally unacceptable. Either way, the way the store has handled your complaint is wrong. They should have done more to make you feel they cared about you (their customer). I don’t know too much about parasitic worms in fish, but you should phone your local hospital or GP and check with them just to put your mind a ease. I am sure you can’t catch anything, even through a cut, but I would check anyway. Continue with your complaint at the store and make sure you take it to the highest level. Just bare in mind that if there was no way of them knowing about the worms then there would have been little they could do to prevent it.
