Have any successful black women experienced being called stuck up because they talked proper?
Well, I was going to say yes, I hate when other black people look negatively on the fact that I am fluent in my native language, when it is obviously very ignorant not to be able to speak it. But you just took the issue somewhere else. I think people call you stuck up because you have been told that you’re pretty so many times that it got into your head, and now you are obsessed with your hair and your chest and your butt. In other words, you are stuck up. It has nothing to do with how you talk. Start talking about how you don’t feel pretty because your hair and outfit aren’t perfect, and it’s true, other women won’t like you. Not because you are too pretty, but because you are too shallow. Society didn’t eat you up, you just let your looks go to your head.
