Yes. Studies have been done in the past to determine whether there were indications of health effects from exposure to soil arsenic levels in Middleport. Results of a biological monitoring program showed no increase in the amount of arsenic uptake in children attending the Royalton-Hartland schools in Middleport relative to a control group of children in a school in Albany. Similar studies have been done in other parts of the country with much higher soil arsenic levels with similar results.
