Have any current WWE stars come from Ohio Valley Wrestling?
Most of the current roster of all 3 brands have come up from OVW.It’s a training school & also a place to re-train a star if they’ve come from somewhere like TNA ( Mickie James) or ROH ( like CM Punk) to the WWE way of wrestling .If an unknown has signed a developmental deal like Paul Burchill it’s a way for Vince to see if they can make the grade to the main roster or not. The current OVW mens champ is in fact Burchill & the womens title holder is Katie Lea aka ex-FWA Nikita.
