Have Americans become constables / police officers in Ontario Canada?
In oder to become a Police officer in Canada, you must be a Legal Permanent Resident of Canada, or a Canadian citizen .. That requires a Immigration application, and that process takes about two to three years to be completed, THEN the person has to apply and be accepted by a Canadian Police department, pass the 10 month long Police College courses, and THEN be sworn in as a Constable , 4th class. It is a rare person indeed who comes from the USA to be a Police officer in Canada. Jim B. Toronto.
