HAve a question about the medication Seroquel??

0

A 100mg difference in Seroquel dosage is significant, and someone s/b calling the psychiatrist immediately to find out if it was per her/his instructions or not. If yes, then it s/b continued, not stopped based on a presumption that it’s wrong because of a bottle label. If it is wrong, then the doc should advise on discontinuation. Stopping all at once probably is not the best idea. I am an adult and would have a rough time with that. The bigger issue I see is that the child is on Seroquel in the first place. It is the most sedating of the current generation antispychotics. Other antipsychotics are usually used with kids or a few of the anticonvulsants. Unless all of these have failed, Seroquel is a very poor choice in my opinion. It has far to much probability of sedating away a childhood instead of treating the illness to provide for normalcy. All of which is based on my non-professional opinion as a person with bipolar educated on my illness and the medications that I take to manage
