Have a Dispute with School? Consider Mediation Sunday July 1, 2007At our house, we make a habit of checking the batteries of our smoke detectors. Smoke detectors are one of those essential things we hope we’ll never need. Mediation is like that too. While we hope we’ll never have a serious disagreement with our children’s schools, it can and does happen. When communication fails, and there is seemingly no solution, parents are concerned their children will not get important services they need. Parents want a solution, but they may not want to hire an attorney or seek a due process hearing. Mediation services are a helpful service available to parents and schools to resolve difficult special education disputes. While we hope we never need it, mediation can be that essential resource you hope you never have to use. Learn more about mediation. Comments (0)See All
