Nope. that last official word on the subject (which came from Nojima about 2 years ago) was that it would cost around $50 million dollar to remake it on PS3 at the level of the Tech Demo (which is where all of this talk originally came from, even though they did a FF6 tech demo on N64 and a FF8 tech demo on PS2 and nothing ever came of those), and due to economic changes since then, it’d be more like $75 million now; it would take 5 years to complete; and that seveal key development players from the original would have to get back together to work on it, and they are now spread across several development teams working on a full plate of projects each.
