Has the Maths-Whizz tutor assessed a student at the wrong level?
There are several reasons why the Maths-Whizz tutor might have assessed a student at the wrong level – They either received too much help in the assessment, or they clicked ‘Don’t know’ and now they are being delivered lessons that are too easy for their ability. You can re-set an assessment result in such circumstances. As the tutoring engine is designed to account for variations in performance we recommend re-setting only when a student’s assessment results are completely at odds with his or her ability. To re-set an individual student’s assessment, log in as a teacher, open the reporting tool and locate the student in question. Select ‘Reset assessment and confirm. The student will be prompted to complete the assessment at next login. Encourage the student to answer the questions that follow with care, and remind him or her that the assessment results have a direct impact on the nature of the lessons that follow.
