A- We have not. That’s too bad, hiring more operators would actually be a very good use of those funds 13. There were two cases in the news where the system failed completely. What do you estimate the total failure rate is? A- Zero. The system worked as designed and both calls connected to a call taker. One caller was flustered and did not follow directions and subsequently disconnected with the 911 call taker moments after reaching a live person. The other caller experienced a bad connection in a rural area. The call taker called back and was able to complete the call for service. The XMU system and the specific calls were reviewed. The XMU system functioned properly in both instances. Again, that is not the information I got directly from the caller and I’m not seeing any logs that say different 14.
