The Healthlight Infrared System and many other infrared therapy products are recognized by the FDA under classification (IRT) 890.5740 (infrared heating pad). Other infrared devices maybe classified as “heating lamps” or “heating pads”. Please keep in mind that currently the FDA DOES NOT APPROVE ANY infrared photo energy therapy device specifically to treat neuropathy. Any company that claims this is being false and misleading.
