Has the Drawtex® dressing any painkilling properties?
No, Drawtex® has no medication inside it, so it does not kill pain directly. Very quickly, through it’s action, Drawtex® rapidly reduces swelling, exudate and odour, improves blood circulation and therefor indirectly reduces pain while restoring comfort and movement to the patient. Note: Swelling, exudates, odour, redness, pain, etc. are signs of infection, caused by a very high concentration of bacteria and the continuous duplication of bacteria inside the deeper compartments of the wound. Drawtex® stops, prevents or minimises the colonisation of bacteria, which has a major effect in the reduction of pain.
