This article will first examine gangs and organizations, why they exist and how we can deter the formulation of organizations that are detrimental to society. A gang is a group of people who, through the organization, formation, and establishment of an assemblage, share a common identity according to Wikipedia. Gangs date back to the early 1800’s. Could KKK, black panthers, sororities, fraternities, Democratic Party, Republican Party, pro life and etc. be considered a gang? These organizations share a common identity, formation, and establishment of a meeting. When members of organizations to include street gangs, commit crimes other members of the organization protect them from prosecution and in some cases cover up the crimes.
