Yes. The first group to do this was the Japanese NiCT organisation – demonstrating 2G, 3G (IMT2000) and High Density Television broadcast in Hawaii in Qct 2002. Toshiba provided the antenna equipment and NEC led on the successful telecom networking and broadcast equipment, commissioning and the demonstrations, using normal mobile phones and televisions etc This first in the world Haps demonstration servrce was even connected to the PSTN (public switch telephone network) – and the world’s first Haps delivered email was sent to Nasa. These renowned Japanese organisation groups are partnering on the Qucomhaps delivery.
