Thibodaux High School’s Trovon Reed, rated the No. 1 prep football recruit in Louisiana by Rivals.com, committed to Auburn Friday in a ceremony at his high school. Reed, a four-star wide receiver and the No. 5 wide out in the country according to Rivals, chose Auburn over LSU and Oregon. The 6-feet, 175-pounder played quarterback for Thibodaux this season. Reed missed four games with a knee injury this season but accounted for nine touchdowns and 483 yards rushing and 423 passing. Thibodaux plays at St. Thomas Moore in a Class 5A playoff game Friday.
