Has Las Ramblas in Barcelona got a bad prostitute problem?
Yes, it has a problem. There have always been prostitutes on the lower part of la Rambla, near the port, but they were beside the buildings and were pacific. Now they are all from Nigeria (exploited by international maffias) are in the middle of the promenade, occupy the whole Rambla, not only the lower part are very aggressive and do not do it in pensions like in the older times but in alleys and such places. I’m from Barcelona and know what I’m talking about. You will not see any locals at the Rambla at night: there are only drunken tourists (favourite prey for prostitutes and pick-pockets), guys from Pakistan selling bear and fake drugs and pick-pockets from Morocco. La Rambla has been the meeting point for the people from Barcelona for more than one and a half century but mass tourism has turned it into the kingdom of vulgarity by day and the nastiest place in the world at night.
