Has Julie Lassa Lost Nerve On Climate Change?
Back in 2007, Julie Lassa, who seeks to succeed David Obey, offered clear support for government action to confront global warming. She applauded the creation of the Wisconsin Governor’s Task Force On Global Warming, saying, “Our future depends on developing new sources of energy that can fuel our economic growth without polluting our environment or contributing to global warming.” There, she said the words, as clear as day: global warming. Why won’t Julie Lassa say those words now? The Lassa for Congress campaign site tip toes right up to talking about global warming and other aspects of climate change, but then scurries right back.
