Has interest in motor racing increased in Pakistan during recent years?
There is already tremendous interest in motorsports here thanks to the internet and satellite TV, particularly in A1GP and of course F1. The sport has seen a lot of growth in the last few years with off-road rallying and a burgeoning karting scene but because there are no active karting circuits, racing tracks or facilities it is hard to channel that interest. Because of this it can be hard to convince the media and sponsors to understand that there is already a huge market and fan base for motorsports. As a driver, what experience have you accumulated in your career so far? Due to the aforementioned financial challenges and the complete lack of motorsport facilities in Pakistan my racing experience is very limited. As the first homegrown professional racing driver from Pakistan, I was also the first to acquire an FIA International Karting License and an FIA International Professional Racing License.
