Has CMS published any provisions to extend the therapy cap exceptions process for CY 2008?
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has extended the therapy cap exceptions process effective January 1, 2008. The Deficit Reduction Act, and the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 extended the cap exceptions process for services furnished through June 30, 2008. The dollar amount of the cap is updated annually in accordance with the Medicare Economic Index.
