All politicians and political parties are out for themselves and taking advantage. If you look at after the general election it was actually the Lib-Dems that were the most cunning of them all. They got a lot more concessions from the Conservatives because they went and talked to Labour for so long and they completely played them to get more. They ended up with some pretty powerful positions in government and the cabinet than their proportion of representation in the UK would have otherwise determined they should have been offered. I think you’re right though it is now coming back to bite them and the situation has completely reversed and the Tories are now in a stronger position and Lib-Dems in a much weakened one. All politicians and political parties are tricky, clever, slippery and as you put it “cunning”.

Of course he has. That was the whole idea of the coalition. With all the lies and promises made then broken to buy the votes at the general election for the lib/dems he knew they would pay the price for the Shambles the Tories have turned the running of the country into. Would of been nice if people would have had the chance to vote for a party that was sort of middle of the road between the Tory and Labour shysters but then it couldn’t happen. I personally decided that if I voted for the lib/dems I’d only be voting for a Tory and the Tory policies as has proved to be true in national politics. Therefore I voted for the master and not the dog. As bad as all politicians are the lib/dems take the cake. Lie after lie and false promise after false promise. It is all they seem to be able to do.
