Has Britain invaded Afghanistan in order 2 increase the street price of heroin? If so,Why?
Britan has a history of being involved in and profiting from the opium or drugs trade (see links to the opium wars below), although some say that this “honour” now belongs to the CIA. The Taliban banned the production of it in accordance with the prohibition on drugs in Islam. After the US led invasion, heroin production started again, as it appears that the new masters in Afghanistan are either unable or unwilling to eliminate production. Although it is possible the invasion was partly to do with the “control” of this trade in “opium for the masses”, another plausible reason is that the Taliban would not agree to the conditions related to the oil pipelind to take hydrocarbon resources through their country and to the warm water port of Gwador in Pakistian. PS. The US/UK addiction to oil is probably more dangerous than the drugs. US cars use more than half than all those in the rest of the world put together.
