Currently the Board is opposed to shortening the school calendar. In addition, there is a rumor that the State of Michigan is looking to restore the school days requirement. Q: What is the cost of a school day? A: Shortening the school year by deleting days puts the entire burden for cost reduction on the hourly employees. Not only that, it trades full days for minutes of education. This raises concern about equity and educational quality. Q: What ideas have the Board presented? A: We, as members of the management team, present ideas to the board for them to decide. Q: What advertising have we done to promote Brandon and what was the circulation? A: Oakland Press pull-out section in Oakland County, commercial at Trillium Theaters in Genesee County, ads in the Citizen and shortly in the Oxford Leader, LA View and County Press in Lapeer.
