Has anyone witnessed petticoat punishment?

You do not have to strike another to be guilty of mental abuse and doing it to a child is inexcusable. When I was young, the penalty for petty pilfering was servitude to the offended party for as long as Dad and the owner agreed bearing in mind that the punishment should fit the crime within reason. Where was Dad in all of this fol-de-rol? Off somewhere never having learned that a man is never so tall as when he stoops to help a child. As to the mental abuse aspect of this inhumane farce, let me point out how loud she would squeal the mental abuse card during a divorce proceeding. A deaf ear on her squeal by the judge would be justice served considering the mental abuse she heaped upon her son in this situation unnecessarily.
